  • A method for the determination of multielements in iron ores by X-ay fluorescence spectrometry with fusion bead sample preparation method was developed. Co (Co Kα) was selected as internal standard for Fe determination and multikinds of standard reference iron ores were used for calibration. The matrix effect was corrected by using the theoretical alpha coefficient method with Compton scattered radiation as internal standard. The maximum absolute analytical error for TFe by this method was ≤0.23%, which meets the accuracy requirement in ISO 9507 AE(TFe)0.30.
