Analysis of Mineral and Chemical Compositions of Clay Core Collected in Bronze Vessels Excavated from Cemetery of Western Zhou Dynasty in Hengshui

More Information
  • Mineral and chemical compositions of clay core samples collected in bronze vessels excavated from Hengshui tombs of Western Zhou Dynasty in Jiang county, Shangxi province were analyzed by X-ray diffractometry, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and microscopic viewing. The results were compared with those excavated from Homa site in Shanxi province and Lijia site in Shaanxi province. The results showed that the most clay cores from Hengshui cemetery have good consistency in chemical and mineral compositions with local soils. It means that the most bronze vessels should be casted in local area.
