Determination of Iron in High Purity Indium by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry
-
ABSTRACT
The determination of iron in high purity indium was performed by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The collision/reaction cell technology was used to eliminate the interference from polyatomic ions and to realize the direct determination of iron. The detection limit for iron by this method was 0.06 ng/mL and the recovery for iron was 94.0%~102.1% with precision of less than 8%RSD(n=11). Compared with other analytical methods, the proposed method provides advantages of simple operation and high analytical efficiency.
