Determination of Trace Cadmium in Soaking Solution of Domestic Ceramics by Cold-vapor Generation-Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
-
ABSTRACT
Trace cadmium in soaking solution of domestic ceramics was determined by cold-vapor generation-atomic absorption spectrometry. The factors affecting the determination, such as flow rate of carrier gas, concentration of NaBH4 (sodium boron hydride), amount of sensitizer added, acidity and interference from coexisting ions were tested. The recovery of the method for Cd is in the range of 94.0%~104.9% with precision of less than 3.6%RSD(n=7). Compared to GF-AAS, the method provides the advantages of high sensitivity and accuracy, high efficiency, economy and practicality. The method has been used in the determination of trace cadmium in soaking solution of domestic ceramic with satisfactory results.
