  • Sample was digested with HCl-NaCl-KMnO4and gold in the sample was then determined by arc-emissionspectrometry with powdered carbon as a buffer and Pt as an internal standard. The detection limit of the method was 0.22 ng/g for Au with detection range of 0.3~1500 ng/g. The method has been applied to the determination of Au in National Standard Reference Materials. The results are in agreement with the certified values with precision of 3.2%~12.8%RSD
