Flame Emission Spectrometric Determination of Lithium in Spodumene

  • A method for the determination of lithium in spodumene by flame emission spectrometry was reported in this paper. Samples were digested with HFHClO4 mixed acid and lithium in the sample solution was determined by emission spectrometry. The results showed that in the 1% HNO3(V/V) media and at the air pressure of 0.3 MPa with acetylene flow rate of 1.2 L/min, 100 times of coexistent elements of K, Na, Ca, Ba, Sr did not interfere with determination. The standard addition recovery of the method was 94.0%~106.0% with precision of 1.52%RSD(n=10).
