Photoelectric Direct Reading Spectrometric Analysis of High-Aluminum-Rare Earth-Zinc Alloys

ABSTRACT
A method for the determination of major components and impurities in high aluminum rare earth zinc alloys by photoelectric direct reading spectrometry was developed. The analysis conditions including sample preparation, selection of spectral lines for the determined elements, instrument operation parameters and calibration curve fitting were studied and optimized. The method has been applied to the determination of the major components and impurities in high aluminumrare earthzinc alloys and the results are in agreement with those by the National Standard Method with precision of less than 6.67%(RSD, n=11).
