Confirming on Critical Depth of Groundwater Level in Hetao Irrigation Area and Discussion on It''''s Significance

Directing at the serious soil salinization situation in Hetao Irrigation Area and through field survey and consulting the predecessors′ research results, a groundwater critical depth value of 2.0 m has put forward. The significance on conforming of critical depth in prevention and remediation of soil salinization, as well as in reasonable use of water resource and promoting agriculture are discussed.
