Analysis of 12 Trace Semi-volatile Organic Compounds in Groundwater for China Groundwater Survey Project

  • A method for analysis of 12 trace semivolatile organic compounds in groundwater has been established. The 11 organochlorine pesticides are determined by GC-ECD, and B(a)P is determined by HPLC-UV-FLD after sample pretreatment by liquidliquid extraction with n-hexane. The detection limits for 12 trace semivolatile organic compounds are in the range of 1.00~1.50 ng/L and the recoveries are 85.3%~106.0% with the precision of 2.52%~6.07%RSD(n=8). The method has the advantages of low detection limits for organochlorine pesticides, high accuracy and precision, simple operation, low cost and was suitable for batch analysis. The method has been applied to the groundwater analysis in China Groundwater Survey Project.
