Abstract:
This paper presents the method for determination of As, Sb, Bi, Ag, Cd and In in geological samples by inductively coupled plasmamass spectrometry(ICP-MS) with aqua regia sample digestion. The elimination of the interference from coexistent elements on the determination of these elements was discussed. The detection limits (10SD, μg/g) are 0.2 for As, 0.01 for Sb, 0.005 for Bi, 0.01 for Ag, 0.01 for Cd and 0.005 for In. The recoveries are 96.8%~106% for As, 102%~108% for Sb, 102%~106% for Bi, 99.7%~104% for Ag, 103%~108% for Cd and 97.9%~100% for In, with the precision (RSD,n=12)of 1.3%~3.0%,0.65%~2.3%,1.2%~2.6%, 3.2%~6.6%,3.7%~8.0% and 1.1%~5.0%,respectively. The method has been applied to the determination of these elements in the National Standard Reference Materials and the results are in agreement with the certified values.
