Abstract:
A method for the determination of Al2O3, CaO, Fe2O3, K2O, MgO, Na2O, TiO2 and SO3 in glass samples by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry was developed. The sample pre-treatment, selection of analytical lines and interference elimination were studied. The recovery of the method is 95.0%~103.0% for the elements with precision of 0.20%~1.72%RSD (n=10). The method provides the advantages of wide dynamic linear range, high efficiency and simple operation over the conventional chemical method and has been applied to the determination of these components in sodium calcium silicon glass samples and their products with satisfactory results.
