Simultaneous Determination of Trace Silver, Beryllium, Boron, Tin, Bismuth and Molybdenum in Geochemical Samples by Emission Spectrometry
-
ABSTRACT
A method for simultaneous determination of silver, beryllium, boron, tin, bismuth and molybdenum in geochemical samples by emission spectrometry with vertical electrode, plane grating and AC arc spectrometer was developed. Al2O3, K2S2O7, NaF, carbon powder and sulfur powder were used as buffers and Sb, Ge as internal standards. The detection limits of the method were 0.019 μg/g for Ag, 0.11 μg/g for Be, 0.85 μg/g for B, 0.26 μg/g for Sn, 0.10 μg/g for Bi and 0.12 μg/g for Mo, respectively. The reliability of the method has been tested by determination of these elements in stream sediment, soil and rock National Standard Reference samples, the results are in agreement with the certified values with precision of less than 10%RSD(n=12). And thousands of geochemical samples have been analyzed by this method with satisfactory results.
